Theresa May Set To Win Confidence Vote
#1
Theresa May has the backing of the ERG and the DUP and looks set to win Labour's no confidence vote.

If May were to be defeated it wouldn't immediately mean a general election, she would need to resign but the Tories can appoint a new leader and have a second confidence vote within 14 days. If they win this time fair enough but if they lose again a general election would follow. This is under legislation that Cameron and Clegg passed.

Well she won the confidence vote as expected. Looks like we will need to wait and see what direction she goes in now.
